Abstract (English):
The relevance of the topic is determined by the need to improve the professional training of personnel of internal affairs bodies. This is due to the remaining unacceptable number of unlawful manifestations both in relation to police officers, including bodily harm in the performance of official duties, and by the employees themselves in relation to citizens. The article presents the author’s vision of the key aspects of the educational process of training police officers. The drawbacks of the current stage of professional training of police officers are noted. The advantages of domestic experience in the methodology of conducting classes, in particular, for initial training, are reflected for persons first recruited into the service in the police department. The methodology for the stage-by-stage training of students is substantiated, an important role in which is played by the demonstration of the necessary actions of the police officers when performing tasks with subsequent value judgments. General and specific recommendations are given that are necessary to improve the educational process on the most pressing issues related to the use of coercive measures by police officers.

Keywords:
