Abstract (English):
The article deals with the issues of modern experimental linguistic research of the meaning of synonymous verbal vocabulary within the framework of the triangulation approach. Based on the analysis of dictionary definitions, the author shows that predicates receive similar explanations, forming so-called “logical circles”. At the same time, the differential signs distinguishing the use of synonymous vocabulary units are not sufficiently disclosed. This causes certain difficulties in interpreting of the meaning of the word. The paper describes the existing techniques and tools of a linguistic analysis based on an experiment, the experience of using of the proven and reasoned research methods, as well as the prospects for their further application. The importance of obtaining statistically reliable data using informants, digital techniques and online search, interactive and educational resources is emphasized, thereby bringing linguistics closer to the exact sciences.
