The article describes a variant of organizing the practice of socialization of older adolescents in the first half of the year of stay at the Suvorov Military School of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia - the most difficult stage of training. The practice of its pedagogical support needs scientifically based options for organizing the training of police officers related to the profession of service, which avoid the risks of simplifying the understanding of the process of socialization and formalizing educational work, leading to dehumanization of relations. The article proposes a variant of the organization of pedagogical support, based on the philosophy of tradition, the humanitarian-anthropological approach, the theory of non-formal educa tion. The experience of using double mentoring of first-year students, implemented by an adult employee of the school and a senior student who has undergone appropriate training, is presented. This made it possible to overcome the risk of establishing a “command-submission” order of orientation, leading to the establishment of relations of alienation and fear, and to activate the “responsibility-obedience” order, which implements relations of trust and authority.
