The paper examines the image of an employee of the internal affairs bodies as an important aspect of the formation of public opinion. The author comes to the conclusion that the image of an employee of the internal affairs bodies plays an important and significant role, its formation as a positive phenomenon of public opinion is a social process of interaction between representatives of law enforcement agencies with the population, reflecting the level of their trust, evaluating the effectiveness of their activities and positive attitude towards them.
