Abstract (English):
The article is devoted to the principles of reading abilities development of non-linguistic educational institutions of higher education on the basis of foreign professionally oriented texts. The author considers effective methods of working with professionally oriented texts in foreign language classes that facilitate the development of reading, speaking, listening and writing skills of the students, also the criteria of educational texts selection and exemplary exercises for reading abilities development are given in the article.
