FEATURES OF PRELIMINARY VERIFICATION OF MATERIALS ON A FALSE REPORT OF AN ACT OF TERRORISM

Abstract:
The article discusses the procedure for checking a deliberately false report of an act of terrorism. Based on the analysis of investigative practice and statistical data, the author emphasizes the social significance of these crimes, which disrupt the work of government agencies and social infrastructure. The article reasonably proposes a list of necessary circumstances that allow for the timely initiation of a criminal case under Article 207 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation, by properly documenting the traces of the crime and conducting appropriate procedural and other measures. Special attention is paid to the circumstances that need to be clarified with the applicant, as well as to the inspection of the device and the source of the deliberately false report of a terrorist act.
