The study is devoted to the analysis of the concept and essence of state coercion measures, the problems of the use by police officers of a separate measure of state coercion «Vehicle opening». In the introductory part, based on the information provided, including the results of a sociological study, the relevance of the chosen topic is indicated. The content of the work is the consideration of the concept and meaning of individual measures of state coercion used by police officers. The concept and signs of administrative and legal coercion are revealed. The study analyzes the regulatory legal acts regulating the procedure and specifics of the use of certain measures of state coercion by police officers. In the final part of the article, the results are summarized, conclusions are formulated with a proposal to improve law enforcement activities.
