In this article, the authors consider topical issues related to the main areas of interaction between the investigator and the prosecutor in the production of a preliminary investigation in the criminal process of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam. It is noted that the investigation of criminal cases in the criminal process of Vietnam has as its tasks the identification of persons guilty of criminal offenses in order to bring them to criminal liability, compensation for material damage caused by the crime. In conclusion, the authors come to the conclusion that the interaction between the investigator and the prosecutor, both in Russia and in Vietnam, is the most important tool that guarantees the effectiveness of all pre-trial proceedings in criminal cases, through which the supervision of the observance of the rights and legitimate interests of persons, involved in the sphere of criminal procedural legal relations.
