The article discusses the features of the structure of the method of committing a crime as a sign of the objective side of falsification of evidence and the results of operational investigative activities. The method of committing these crimes is one of the main features of its characteristics. Presents the concept of the method of committing crimes under article 303 of the Criminal code of the Russian Federation, a grouping of ways of committing falsification of evidence and the results of operational-investigative activity, and considers the jurisprudence of the studied compositions, the author’s position of ways of committing falsification of evidence (results of investigative activities) according to the criterion time of their formation.
