The author of the article analyzes the features of administrative and legal regulation of police activities in the feld of public order. The characteristic of the content of the concept of public order in the system of administrative and legal protection is given. The main forms of police activity aimed at preventing and suppressing administrative ofenses that infringe on public order are considered, as well as to analyze the competence of the internal afairs bodies (police) in the area under study.
