The article pays special attention to the general knowledge of pyrodynamic processes and pyrostatics, examines the theoretical and practical results of forensic ballistics research, the infuence of mechanical processes occurring both inside the barrel of a weapon and during the departure of a bullet after the muzzle of the barrel bore on the result of ballistic examination, as well as quantitative characteristics of accurate measurements that are required to solve crimes, related to weapons and ammunition. The relevance of the topic is explained by the use of physical quantities for diferent types of weapons, as well as the tactics of the mechanical impact of the shot on the striking object.
