The article reveals certain aspects of the work on the resettlement of compatriots living abroad to the Russian Federation, as well as the modernization of approaches and mechanisms for their state support. In order to create favorable conditions for resettlement to the Russian Federation for permanent residence of compatriots living abroad, a number of legislative initiatives have been implemented, including those aimed at simplifying the conditions and procedure for acquiring Russian citizenship. Approaches and mechanisms of state support for compatriots moving to the Russian Federation from abroad have been significantly adjusted.
