Abstract (English):
The article examines the process of analyzing the personality of a suspect at the stage of preliminary investigation, including profling and drawing up a psychological portrait of a person. The author draws attention to practical diffculties, in particular, those associated with the need to attract specialists from the feld of psychology and psychiatry, which may affect the need to attract additional material and time resources. As a result of the study, the author comes to the conclusion that it is very important when drawing up a psychological portrait of a criminal.
