The article examines the indicators characterizing the state of food security in the Republic of Bashkortostan: dynamics of production of basic agricultural products in total volume for all categories of farms and per capita. Based on the assessment of the state of exports and imports of meat and milk, the insufficient level of food security of the region for meat was revealed. The aspects of the activities of various supervisory authorities in ensuring the quality of food products are considered. The performance of the activity of the internal affairs bodies on economic crimes are presented, some problems of their interaction with veterinary supervision services are identified. The main directions of improving the work of the internal affairs bodies in ensuring food security of the republic are determined.
