CRIMINOLOGICAL CHARACTERISTICS OF CRIME IN THE ULYANOVSK REGION IN 2011‒2021: TRENDS AND DYNAMICS

Abstract (English):
The article deals with the criminological characteristics of crime in the Ulyanovsk region in 2011–2021. The authors conducted a comprehensive analysis of the state and trends in the development of crime in general and its individual types: violent crimes, corruption, juvenile delinquency, drug trafficking. The article provides an assessment of law enforcement activities in certain areas of crime prevention. The authors also considered criminological signs of the a criminal’s personality. Separate proposals have been formulated to improve crime prevention activities, including within the framework of the implementation of a practice-oriented approach in the education system. It is concluded that it is necessary to strengthen interdepartmental cooperation and involve young people in preventive work.
