The article reveals the main directions of improving the institution of disciplinary responsibility implemented in order to create prerequisites for combating corruption among police officers, identifies the causes of violations of the rule of law in the internal affairs bodies, internal conditions for the manifestation of corrupt behavior among law enforcement officers, etc. The author substantiates the use of the institute of personal guarantee when making decisions on the appointment of senior staff, measures of disciplinary responsibility of employees during their service in the internal affairs bodies, as well as personal responsibility for compliance with official discipline in departments.
