In the article, the author analyzes emergencies related to careless (inept) handling weapons due to the insolvency of law enforcement officers to apply the acquired theoretical knowledge and practical skills, non-compliance with safety standards when handling weapons, their incompetence and improper actions, i.e., everything that can cause incidents in duty units when receiving and handing over weapons and lead to the traumas and injuries to law enforcement officers. This article provides the results of the experiment that was conducted to determine the degree of influence of the scheme and algorithm on the quality of the actions performed when receiving and handing over weapons. The author studies the actions of law enforcement officers in duty stations when receiving weapons and preparing them for service or when handing over weapons.
