This study is devoted to the analysis of legal uncertainty in the system of restrictions and prohibitions in the public service. The article formulates the concept and negative consequences of the presence of legal uncertainty for the private interests of civil servants and the public interests of the state. It provides examples of the presence of legal uncertainty in the system of restrictions regarding the ban on giving gifts in the public service, as well as the procedure for transferring securities (participatory interests, shares in the authorized (share) capital of organizations) to trust management in order to prevent conflicts of interest.
