The article provides a comprehensive analysis of the objective signs of a crime under Article 111 “Intentional infliction of serious harm to health” of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation. The article considers the features of the object and the objective side of this crime, including the characteristics of a socially dangerous act, its consequences and the causal relationship between them. The author pays special attention to medical criteria for determining the severity of harm to health and their legal assessment. The problematic aspects of the qualification of this crime are analyzed based on judicial practice materials.
