SURVEILLANCE AS A PROFILING METHOD IN THE FRAMEWORK OF COUNTERING ILLICIT TRAFFICKING OF NARCOTIC DRUGS AND PSYCHOTROPIC SUBSTANCES AT TRANSPORT INFRASTRUCTURE FACILITIES
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The article is devoted to the surveillance method in the profiling methodology when combating illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances at transport infrastructure facilities. Profiling of transport infrastructure facilities is an important tool for ensuring public safety. Profiling is a science that studies human behavior in different situations, their reactions to various stimuli and factors. Surveillance is one of the main profiling methods and its use as a profiling method can increase the accuracy and efficiency of the analysis of transport infrastructure facilities, which, in turn, can lead to improved safety and efficiency of transport systems. Analysis of legal practice shows that it is transport networks that are most often used in the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, in connection with which the active implementation of technologies that ensure productive counteraction to this negative phenomenon seems to be a very relevant direction. The paper proposes algorithms for the use of surveillance in the framework of the implementation of forensic profiling in transport when countering the illegal trafficking of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances. A conclusion is made about the universality of the surveillance method and its easy adaptation as a tool for ensuring the safety and efficient operation of transport systems as a whole.
